COMPANY

The foundry has been in operation since February 1 2002 ,continuing its fifty-year tradition as a workshop.
The production mainly consists of high-quality grey, spheroidal cast iron castings.The company's product range is flywheel covers,sumps,hubs, brake discs and brake drums, rocker boxes, driver cases, hatches, grids, slumps, clamping rings, steering boxes, toothed wheels.
Castings are manufactured on two automatic production lines. Short run production of castings takes place in the hand moulding shop. The company offers comprehensive assistance, starting from the design stage, through to modelling, moulding and machining of the finished product, including painting, packaging and delivery.
 
History
The structure of the foundry has changed several times:
► from 1957 to 1995 it was one of the main workshops of Fabryka Samochodów Ciężarowych(Automative factory-commonly known as FSC) in Lublin,
► from 1995 to 2001 it was a principal castings supplier for Daewoo Motor Polska,
► n the same period of time, as a part of international group Daewoo Motor Polska production for foreign markets was developed,
► since February 2002 the plant has been transformed into a self-governing business entity named Cast-Iron Foundry Lublin Co Ltd
 
The foundry was developed and modernised:
► in the 1970s it was provided with a new equipment and technology as a part of cooperating with FIAT group
► from 1995 to 1996 it was thoroughly modernized by installing new core-making machines, rotary fettling tables, sand-mills and a rasin coated sand station.
► in 2000 investment process was completed by installing: a modern, fully automatic moulding line ( Foundry Automation),an automatic pouring furnace (ABB) and new cupolas, and introducting nodular cast iron production technology by wire.
As a result of the enterprises the Foundry is an advanced company offering highest international standard of products, work organisation and customer service.
In 2007 there was a change of iron casting technology by installing Otto Junker induction furnace allowing production of all sorts of cast iron.
► Currently the company's overall production potential enables to produce the highest quality castings at competitive prices compared to other Polish and foreign foundries.
 
Cooperation with UE
Projects implemented by Cast-Iron Foundry Lublin Co Ltd were cofinanced by the
European Regional Development Fund as a part of Regional Operational Programme of Lubelskie Voivodeship for the years 2007-2013.
